Hey there! this is my first add ever to a blog, so don’t expect to much. I will mostly write about stuff that comes to my mind and things I don’t understand.
I am going to have a weekly review about something, atleast I will try too keep it up.
This week I am going to review the VISA commercial with the fat guy running, and all of a sudden, he is a pro football player.
It starts with a really fat guy running. He’s running really far, and really fast, through a lot of countries, villages, etc etc.
First. A fat guy could never run that far.
Second. A guy that fat could never keep up that speed for more than maybe 5 seconds unless he is a fat version of Chuck Norris, which i doubt he is.
Third. What the hell is the message with this commercial? A fat guy running till he’s not fat anymore, suddenly he is a pro footballplayer. Then the VISA logo comes up and some text saying that life is better on the run or something. I don’t get it. Seriously. What the hell?
A pro football player, a pro athlete of any kind has laid many hours into becoming that athlete. Wow, this fat guy runs, now he’s a pro footballer. No. That’s not how it works. Stop that. Stop being unrealistic.
Sorry to say it, VISA. That commercial didn’t attract me. I dont want to use VISA now.
Great blog entry. Commercial reviews is a good idea. A cool addition would be to add the link to the commercial from Youtube for instance. that way people watching the blog could also see the commercial you're talking about. I've taken the leisure to find it for you this week: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8PUsX75OXg
ReplyDeleteOne thing to note though. The guy gets thinner and thinner the longer he runs. He's not that fat when he reaches the football field in the end ;)
G
I noticed that he got thinner and thinner aswell. I wrote this like... 2'o clock at night in 10-15 minutes, so I didn't get everything into the text : p
