Maino is an American rapper from Brooklyn, NY. His his birth name is Jermaine Coleman, and he was born February 21 in 1979. He is a Mexican-American and African descent.

His first single was ''Hi Hater'', released in 2008.

And his first album was ''If Tomorrow Comes...'', it was released on June 30, 2009.

But ''All The Above'' featuring T-Pain, was the song where he got heard. It got very popular, and teams, and athletes use this song as an intro..Like Auburn Tigers Football team, and Danillo Villefort (UFC-fighter)...

Maino was raised by drug addicted parents, and because of this Jermaine ends up in the streets, and gets busted for drug related kidnapping. He spend 10 years in prison, from 1993-2003. In jail Maino begins to rap to have something to do in prison, because he was bored, and he feels that Hip-Hop kept him alive. He got better and better in rapping, so after the 10-year prison sentence, he went to the independent Hustle Hard label, and in 2005 Maino started to record his debut album ''Death Before Dishonor''. But by ignorant reasons, Maino got dropped from the label, and the album he was supposed to release, ''Death Before Dishonor''

was shelved...

But then in 2007 Atlantic Records signed him, and it was with this label his first single ''Hi Hater'' was released...

Maino is ''fighting'' for a new-era in Hip Hop, and I agree a 100%... Nowaday Hip Hop is dominated by 50 Cent, Nas, Diddy, Jay-z, Lil Wayne and so on.... He wants to 'breathe' new life into Hip Hop, and I trust that he can achieve this goal :D... fo' real!
